Antarctica

These Antarctic Islands, St. George and Half Moon, are part of a cauldera in the Antarctic Peninsula.

It was two day's journey from Ushuaia to the Peninsula, through the Drake Passage. The seas were quite rough.

Housed on these islands are research stations. The Antarctic Treaty dictates that no more than 100 people can be on one island at a time, in order to preserve the wildlife.
